Selangor Local Authorities Mobilize Against Open Burning as Haze Blankets Region
Selangor's local authorities have been instructed to intensify enforcement against open burning activities following hazardous air quality readings. The state government has activated its National Haze Action Plan with penalties reaching RM1 million and five-year imprisonment terms.
