Thailand's Lost Elephant Calf Dies Despite Rescue Efforts at Sai Yok National Park
A young wild elephant calf found abandoned near Sai Yok National Park in Thailand's Kanchanaburi province has died despite intensive veterinary care. The calf, named Jiew Sai Yok, succumbed to suspected acute kidney failure early Tuesday morning.
