Parliament's PAC Flags Massive Waste in Cooking Oil Subsidy Scheme
Malaysia's parliamentary watchdog has identified serious inefficiencies in the cooking oil subsidy programme, recommending a 60,000 metric tonne monthly quota reduction and a shift to digital targeting to plug leakage in a scheme that has cost RM10.879 billion since 2019.
