Road Transport Amendment Bill 2026 Tabled, Penalties to Rise Sharply
Malaysia's parliament has introduced the Road Transport (Amendment) Bill 2026, featuring substantial increases in traffic fines and jail terms. Penalties for numerous violations will jump from RM300 to RM500 minimum, while street racing now carries prison terms up to five years for repeat offences.
