Malaysia has called on ASEAN member states to create unified standards for recognising vocational and technical qualifications, enabling skilled workers to compete globally and meet emerging industry demands across the region.
Malaysia has established a Strategic TVET 2.0 Task Force and 10 specialized committees to overhaul vocational training from 2026 to 2035. Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid says the initiative will strengthen skills development and workforce readiness.
