Hong Kong Bookseller Lam Wing-kee, Symbol of Beijing's Crackdown on Free Speech, Dies in Taiwan at 70
Lam Wing-kee, the Hong Kong bookseller who became an international symbol of resistance to Beijing's authoritarian controls, has died in Taiwan at age 70. He was seized by Chinese authorities in 2015 and later relocated to Taipei.
